ASSISTIVE TECHNOLOGY
TeNDER combines technologies that are easy to use and well-known, such as smartphones, health bands, motion sensors, and other similar devices. These technologies will monitor vital signs, capture movement and gait, and recognise emotional states and changes.
SERVICE DESCRIPTIONS
TeNDER does not replace patients’ personal contact with those who surround them, rather, it helps connect their environment in a way that extends their independence.
Virtual Assistant system
A system that performs tasks or provides services for users. The system’s actions and responses are based on data, commands, and/or questions.
Monitoring, warning, and reporting system
The safety of patients depends highly on the detection of unforeseen situations or potential hazards. Depending on the situation, TeNDER will warn patients of dangers and inform responsible persons. The system will also generate reports for patients, caregivers, and professionals.
Patient, caregiver, and medical personnel communications
All users will be able to exchange
of relevant information to provide an optimised care, safety, and independence.
Social Services matching
This tool will centralise treatment information, exercise recommendations, and other important non-medical services (for example, on daily needs, from cleaning to household administration, shopping, occasional travel, etc.). It will then provide this information to local care
providers and patients. This will give users the resources to make informed decisions about the services that best fit their needs, as well as control over their day-to-day wellbeing.
Data analysis and personalised recommendations
TeNDER will provide personalised feedback to support the patient in living a safe, healthy, and independent life.
Legal awareness system
This component will certify and guarantee that all data processed within TeNDER will be GDPR compliant.
Quality of Life assessment
The quality of life of patients and caregivers, and the working conditions of care professionals, will be assessed through questionnaires before and after each pilot.
Pathway tracking
This service will analyse patients’ non-clinical activities, providing all participants with relevant information to optimise time management and patient care.
ETHICS AND PRIVACY
- The TeNDER consortium adheres to strict ethical guidelines.
- Partners’ research methods, pilot procedures, and daily medical practices comply with the high standards of ethics set by committees at EU and national levels.
- As the TeNDER system intends to gather personal and medical information from its users, the consortium will also ensure that processing of such personal data will comply with the rigorous legal guidelines set out by Member States and in the EU-wide General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), as well as other relevant ethical guidelines.
- This will guarantee the protection of the fundamental rights of the research participants and eventual users of the TeNDER system.
